I don't know the name of the person who sent this email.
"The author of, "It started with Brian", has passed away and a close friend is completing the story. sad indeed."
Here is the story. http://www.gayauthors.org/efiction/viewstory.php?sid=468
I read this and reread it often "Desert Dropping" it is really well written and a fast read. http://domluka.gayauthors.org/desert/index.html
Yesterday you asked about story recommendations; if you haven't read it "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" on Literotica is very good: http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=267413
December 28, 2009 Here are two story recommendations from Ari.
"In Due Time" by J_Ross http://www.gayauthors.org/efiction/viewstory.php?sid=724
It can be excruciatingly slow at time, but I've never been able to stop reading it. The narrator is filled with just enough teenaged angst to make him endearing. The author's been on some sort of hiatus, but recently mentioned that they would be resuming the story soon.
"It Started With Brian" http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/highschool/it-started-with-brian/
It gets pretty heartbreaking.
April 6, 2007 The Conquered was recommended by several readers and it's a story that I read some time ago and enjoyed. The link is here http://nifty.nisusnet.com/nifty/gay/athletics/the-conquered/ I'm not sure who the author is, it doesn't say in Nifty. If anyone knows I'll be happy to post it. It's a collaboration by AB Guy & DW Simon.
April 4, 2007 Last night I noticed that I've never recommended one of the first writers that I read online. In case you've somehow missed these stories click on these links
Those Golden Eyes and Rough Road Ahead. Rough Road Ahead taught me never to post photos with my stories and it's the reason that I never do. If Jack ever dies I'm gonna plagiarize his castration scene in RRA.
March 31, 2007 Some of the best stories around are from Mike Arram. I would begin with Towards the Decent Inn and go from there. The writing is great but more importantly Mike is a great story teller.
February 27, 2007 Jack Scribe's new story, Life's A Grind is finally up at this url http://www.crvboy.org/stories/jackscribe/lag/c01.html . I really like Jack's writing and he's a good friend.
January 27, 2007 I can't remember if I have ever plugged Vance Lista's stories but if I haven't then let me make up for it. I love this guy's writing though it is a bit gut wrenching. Anyway be brave and check it out here! Do it now! http://www.vlista.gayauthors.org/stories.html
Another writer, who if you read this page regularly you know that I like, is Tim Mead and he has an addition to his Colby series. And you can read that here. http://www.crvboy.org/stories/timmead/jr/c01.html
January 18, 2007 Story suggestions from another reader.
January 17, 2007 Here are some stories suggested by a reader.
November 29, 2006 I can't remember if I've mentioned this story before. It's called Seal Rocks and it's excellent, very thoughtfully done. http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/highschool/seal-rocks/
November 26, 2006 For some reason I really haven't had much time to read lately but cruising thru RCWP this morning I found the latest chapter by Rock Lane Cooper. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this guy is one of the best authors I've read on the internet or anywhere else. Rock Lane Cooper
November 12, 2006 A story by a good friend of mine who is also a really fine writer http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/beginnings/nudist-camp-vacation/ and another fine new author here http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/relationships/stonegate-stable/
October 29, 2006 I'm reading a story called Rip Tide, it's on Nifty at this url http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/college/rip-tide/ . It's still being written but I kinda like it.
October 15, 2006 It's always a treat to find a writer who's work you like and that you've never read before. A reader recommended Carson Shepard at literotica.com and I really like his writing. I just finished Behind the Bars but I've read his other stuff too and it's all good. Thanks Lia for telling me about him.
October 8, 2006 My first recommendation on this new page is for Jeff Allen's stories over at CRVboy. There are five of them and I think that they are all related, meaning that the characters from each story seem to intertwine. I guess that I'm not totally sure any more that every one of them is related but I think so. Jeff is a really good writer and the stories have a great feel and are easy to read in the way that good writing is. Plus since they are all related you kinda hang onto the characters that you've grown to like.
October 7, 2006 Okay this is my first attempt at creating a page with just story recommendations. Yes, I just copied and pasted from the Blog page but in the future it'll all be new. And I know that not all, maybe even not most of the links are hot but I'll try and get to that.
September 8, 2006 I can't remember if I've mentioned this story before, Sealing our Fate, if I haven't I should have. Same great writer who did Sea Change and The Least of These.
September 4, 2006 I just discovered a Jack Scribe story that I missed. It Stays In Vegas Kinda like going thru an old pair of pants and finding a twenty dollar bill.
August 1, 2006 STUFF I'M READING! A story that I just finished that is really really great is Journey of Love by the Journeyman. This is a wonerful story that will keep you in tears. The story that warms my heart is Double the Trouble by Iarwain. I love that story! One of the most talented writers around is Horatio Nimier. His story Two Distinct, Divisions None is absolutely first class. Which bring me to talking about the RCWP web site. If you read everything at this site you wouldn't be far off having read the very best. Desertmac, Jack Scribe, Drew Hunt, Tim Mead, William Tyler King, I better quit cause I'll forget someone. Just check out the site, start reading at the top and you'll be doin good. RCWP if it's on that site, I'm reading it.
June 14, 2006 This is an enchanting story. http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/highschool/double-the-trouble/
I love this guys writing. http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/adult-friends/mike-and-danny/
Jack Scribe wouldn’t know how to write a bad story. There are
three to choose from. http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/beginnings/other-avenues/
Tim Mead’s new story I like a lot. http://www.crvboy.org/stories/timmead/bch/c01.html
William Tyler King has added a new chapter to his wonderful Reclaiming Austin http://www.rainbowcommunitywritingproject.com/ReclaimingAustin.html
If you haven’t read Tutoring Jerry it is a must read. http://nifty.bunkhouse.com/nifty/gay/highschool/tutoring-jerry/
March 24, 2006 Please check out The Out Call by Pete of Finland. Really good writing! http://theoutcall.blogspot.com/2005/11/chapter-1-permit-to-stay.html
January 22, 2006 Please, do yourselves a huge favor and start reading Cole Parker's new story Josh, Evolving on the Nifty site. Here's the url http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/highschool/josh-evolving/
I just read a story on Nifty by Cole Parker and was very touched by it. If you haven't already read When He Was Five by Cole do yourself a big favor and do. http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/adult-youth/when-he-was-five/
